God does some of His best work through our weakness.
“Hustle culture” tries to convince us that the only way to get ahead is to work while everyone else is asleep. But every physical trainer will tell you it’s when you sleep that your muscles recover, build and grow the most. Good quality sleep is also a key ingredient in weight loss. And everyone knows solid sleep creates better mental function throughout the day.
So, far from long nights of sleep being a sign of weakness, sleep is where your body does some of its most important work.
In our discipleship, it’s often in the areas of our lives that we consider weaknesses that Jesus does some of his most important and powerful work.
