Primary text: Mark 4:35-41

When you feel like he doesn’t care, cling to his character.

You send a text asking help. You stare at the phone screen. No response. No three dots letting you know they’re engaging with your request. Not even an indication they’ve read your message at all.

You call. They don’t pick up. You call back, this time you even leave a voicemail. Nothing.

You go to their house, knock on their door, and wait. In the cold. Alone. Nothing.

This week in our series Real, we step into a moment in Peter’s life where he desperately needs Jesus to do something, but Jesus doesn’t seem to care. In fact, Jesus is asleep. But Jesus responds in a way that tells us what to do when we feel like he’s ignoring us and doesn’t care that we’re drowning.

Other texts in this message: Exodus 34:6, Psalm 86:15, Psalm 103:8, Psalm 145:8, Psalm 44:1-26, Psalm 42:9, Romans 8:28-39, 1 Peter 5:7
