Follow him, and you will know him. – Albert Schweitzer
Most – if not all – of us have had the experience. Maybe it happened in junior high. Maybe at work. Maybe on a date. We know someone’s face and have heard rumors about them, and we have some preconceived ideas about what they must be like.
But then, we find ourselves in a situation where we are working or spending some time with them. And over time, time spent hearing their words and experiencing their actions for ourselves, our perception of them begins to change. It’s only by being with them that we’re able to truly get to know them.
This week in our series Real, we see how the story of Peter and other disciples spending time with Jesus is the only way they come to know him serves as a template and invitation for us to get to know Jesus for ourselves.
Other texts in this message: Matthew 11:28-30
