What are you worried about? Maybe you’re afraid you won’t make your 4th-quarter numbers. Maybe you have a difficult conversation in your near future. Maybe you have a doctor’s appointment looming. Maybe your life has too many tasks or too many kids – too little money and too little time, you can’t seem to catch a break. Instead of finding rest, you’re weary and restless. What you do is never enough. Your best doesn’t measure up. Here’s the truth: The happiest people in life are not people with fewer problems. The happiest people in life are people with greater peace. Peace isn’t a place or even a pace. Peace is a Person. May the Lord of peace give you pervasive peace with every problem and every person.
There tend to be two primary times we lack peace – with problems and people so let’s pray about both. Uncertainty. Failure. Grief. Shame. Heartache. Forgiveness. Pressure. Marriage. Singleness. Children. Family. Friendship. Work. May the Lord of Peace give you pervasive peace with every problem and every person. Memorize the verse, pray the verse for yourself and for others, and let the Person of peace dwell within your people and problems this week. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 – Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
