“A Beautiful Life”
SPEAKER: Troy Champ
Competition is a good thing! Until it’s not.. Until someone gets stepped on, pushed aside, or left behind. James says the wisest among us live lives characterized by deeds done in humility. Humility meaning gentleness, kindness, or best translated (and most misunderstood) meekness. However, despite what you might think – meek is not weak. What if in competition, in tension, and in dealing with that extra-challenging person we had a deliberate exercise of the will in which we respond with gentleness and humility? Wise people who do this are more interested in doing right than being right. What if we were wise enough to not need to always win. Let love win.
May you be completely humble and gentle. Be patient, bearing with unbearable people with the Christ-like love of a peacemaker.
Ephesians 4:2-3 Be completely humble and gentle; be patience, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
